    Having unprotected sex after 5 days of spotting
    Its been 8 weeks since I stopped taking contraceptive shots (Nur-Istrate).I've been spotting for 5days and had unprotected sex with my husband on the 6th day of Spotting,the spotting stopped after having unprotected sex... I found out that spotting is a sign of fertility if one is not using any form of birth control. Could I possibly be pregnant or how soon could I take a home pregnancy test after having sex while spotting?

    HPT is most reliable 10 days after a missed period using first morning urine.

    You had unprotected sex. Yes, you could be pregnant.

    So soon after coming off birth control, it is doubtful,

    Spotting is also a sign for dozens of things.

    But you have to wait till you miss a period and wait 10 to 14 days after you miss a period
