Hi,

In the beginning of 2011 I went on the depo shot. Between then and August 2012 I lost my period and all related symptoms completely, my bones became very weak and I also gained 25kg. As a result, I decided to stop taking the depo shot and so the August 2012 shot was my last.

My bones are healthier but that is the only improvement I have seen. I have not had my period since starting the depo shot and my body continues to enlarge despite my almost military efforts at fitness and healthy living. I now also get sporadic abdominal pains.

I started my strength and cardio work outs on the 3rd of January 2013 and to date I have lost 1kg. I even take supplements and I lift weights but all of this effort has come to nothing except for a whole lot of muscle undeneath the fat.

I have read plenty of forums and most women say that their period came back after 6 - 12 months of quitting depo and that is when the weight "fell off." I have also spoken to many pharmacists and nurses but all they tell me is to "wait it out" or go see an obgyn.

I turn 21 in December and I would like nothing more than to have my bikini body back and a regular period.

I would like to know if there is anything I can do to induce my period and shed off this weight?
