>Threads merged<
Please advise what action can I take to respond to my being laid off from a job after a 90 + days on the job and the reason for release from the position seems to me to be Bogus?
Thank you for your cooperation and continued support.

You'll have to give us more information than this. I moved this to Office Politics for now, not knowing what this is all about.

Where?
Unless you are protected by a union or employment contract you can be laid off/fired for "bogus" reasons.

You really don't have anything you can do... you barely just got hired... most of the places I've worked had one year probationary periods...
Unless you have a labor contract... you are an at-will employee... meaning you are there at their will... or your own.
They don't NEED a reason to lay you off. And they couldn't make you stay if you wanted to leave either.
You go to the unempoyment office and file for unemployment... and start looking for a new job.

Consider yourself lucky to be laid off - you can collect UI. Being fired you usually can't collect.
Whose opinion was it that your layoff was bogus? Were you the only one? Layoffs are usually several people at once, except in very small companies.

What is the difference in this case Being Fired and or Being Laid Off ? They gave me a document I signed that noted the reason the action taken was unjustified

There's a big difference, but we can't tell from what you have said which it was.
Can you copy some key sentences from the paper you signed? It doesn't sound right for a company to say 'action taken was unjustified.'

Fired means your employment is terminated.
Laid off means you could be called back.
You didn't know this?
A statement that the terminated was without cause/unwarranted means you can collect unemployment insurance

That would usually mean you were fired.
But we can't tell for sure. It should say somewhere on the document.
How long did you work there? How old are you? How many employees there?

You signed a paper saying your work wasn't up to their standards. So bu doing so you agreed to their complaint. Since you signed you can not say it was unjustified. If you had another prior job within the past half year to year then you might qualify for unemployment but 90+ days is not enough with no prior work history... at least not in my state.

As noted, many companies have a probationary period of 3 - 12 months. They evaluate your performance after the probation period and decide whether to continue your employment. Apparently the company felt your performance didn't merit continued employment. Why would you think that was bogus?
Most employment is at will which means you can be let go for no reason at all. So far you have not told us anything to justify pursuing this.
