    I have a severe earache.
I have a severe earache. I went to the doctor last week and have just finished my 850 mg antibiotics. I have tried tylenol, aleve, hot towel,cold/ sinus medicine, nettie pot and I even used tiger balm has a home remedy. Nothing is working. It feels like an ice pick is being jammed into my ear. It runs along my jaw, my sinus cavity and the top of my eyebrow. Know it's sinus, but I'm ot clogged up. Doesn't make sense usually is gone by now

Call the Doctor and see if it makes sense to him/her.

Does it come and go like electric shocks or lightning flashes, or is it a steady pain?

I'd go back to or at least call the doctor to give him another chance to figure this out. (My brother had severe sinus problems and finally went to an acupuncturist. After a few treatments, he said the fluids in his head emptied like water going down a suddenly unclogged sink drain, so you might want to keep that in mind as a possible backup idea.)

Doctors! Too many of them don't look or listen.
    I agree about the sinuses.
Your eustacien tube can collapse. It produces and drains mucous just like any sinus cavity - or at least it's supposed to.
    Also, see a DENTIST!!
I went to doctors for years when it was really a molar nerve that went up to my ear. I even had an ENT specialist tell me it was because of a deviated septum and he needed to operate. Good grief.
