Trying to find book
Okay this book is, I think, the 2nd or 3rd in the series. It stars a P.I. who has a friend who is a vampire. She is maybe works for the same organization as her friend. There is talk in the news about dog attacks, increasing in frequency. She is brought to the scene of the latest in part to see if she had anything to do with the attacks and if not to give her opinion on the cause. This all happened within the first couple of chapters.
