    German Passport
My wife is finding it difficult to get information about her German Father who died when she was 10. She needs this information for her German Passport renewal.

Her dad emigrated to South Africa in the 1940's. Who do we contact in Germany to see if they have a copy of his passport he last had before he died? We need the number if possible as Home Affairs has no record of him in their computer system! Yet we have my wife's South African birth certificate with his name on and his death certificate in South Africa.

Can anyone help us? [email protected]
