Recently myself and the father of my 3 children went to court after I filed for joint custody... my finance is a felon we have been together for 9 months and my 3 children have lived with my boyfriend and I... my children's father made false allocations against me and asked that the children not be around my finance when they are in my custody... if my children were to come in contact with my finance is it possible I could lose custody...

Yes its possible... how likely would depend on exactly what the convictions were for.

And how good each sides lawyers are. Meaning its possible... but not a slam dunk depending on why. Example.. if it was for assault or a sex crime... the odds are way better than a non-violent crime.

My finances conviction was a.theft charge... and what actions could I take to change things we are planning on getting married and my children's father knew this months before we went to court and he admitted purposely to making the comment that he didn't want the around my finance because of his own selfishness... what can I do?

I see the other thread and my answer are gone. Well, anyway, I said that I've seen Judges rule both ways. In theory a felony record shouldn't automatically make someone a danger to the children. I have seen Judges decide that either parent is not keeping good company.

Do I think you will lose custody? I don't know. What are the specific allegations? Just the arrest record?

I will caution you that everyone who has a live in and goes to Court refers to the live in as the "fiance." You've been living together for some time and you aren't married. Why, particularly if it's an issue for your "ex."

Maybe your "ex" is spiteful. Maybe he's legitimately concerned. Go to Court with employment records and references and prove his fears unfounded.

The allocations that were made. My my children's father were that I was abusing proscriptioned drugs... which when he was asked by the hearing officer he had proof... he none I have never been on any sort of trouble or anything...

Your fiancé needs to prove to the court that he will be good for your children. You can also proive that your ex has been making false accusations.
