    Scotts 1742/John Deere 100
    I need the page from the manual for a scotts 1742 Mower or the John Deere 100. It is the same mower. I need the page for removing the deck. I am having a problem getting it off to sharpen the blades and change the belt. Please help.

    Hi,
    They are not the same machine; the steering, for one thing, is radically different. So is the frame. The Scotts is very close to the older STX machine except the large ones that resemble LX200 series. Why not go to the JDAnswers Center and type in your choice; they have about twenty documents on the decks of machines there.Just search for the one you want.
