Taking advantage of elderly in orlando fla
My 82 year old father sold a 98 pick up and a camper for $1400. He signed the title and gave them the truck and camper we think he was taken advantage of he doesn't have the peoples name or any info on them is there anything we can do about this , THANKS DEBBIE

Are saying he wasn't paid ? Because if he was paid, then there isn't much you can do about it. In what way was he taken advantage of? Seeing as he was very elderly, did you not see fit to oversee the transaction with him?

Of course, I don't know the condition of the truck or the mileage but it is entirely possible that it wasn't worth more than $500 by itself. I see 98 pickups going at the auctions every week and most of them are in poor shape and don't bring over $700.

Good point its best to say fair condition AND only use as approximate estimate. (I always go fair to poor)

Dealers use a Black book for wholesale values (what they might bring at wholesale auctions).for the average price they should pay.. Bluebook is what someone would pay from a dealer (retail)... NOT what a dealer will pay because they have to make money on it... after they clean it and fix it up enough someone so someone would want to buy it. And no car being traded is ready to go on the lot as its brought in.
