Please help finding a book about a teenage boy set in USA, like Catcher in the Rye.
Hi there, I'm looking for the title of a book that I think wouyld have been written in the last 10 years, it's by a male author, compared to JD Salinger and Catcher in the Rye. Has similar themes of teenage male isolation, mental illness, alienation.

It's about a 14 year old boy who lives with his uncle that likes to grow these weird plants and smoke them. It's set in America The boy feels superior to other people, he is talented but doesn't apply himself. His geography teacher notices this and tries to help a little. The boy and teacher hate mediocrity. He meets and somewhat befriends a girl in his class. I think her name is Sarah. The story unfolds that both the boy and his teacher and plotting evil things, the boy the kidnap of Sarah's little sister, approx 4 years old, name maybe Kaylee, the teacher the murder of a female colleague that is pushy and annoying. The boy and Sarah become very close as her mother had died in an accident too. All the boy has left of his mother is a mirror she left him. The boy carries out his plot, kidnaps the little girl from her house and hides her in her uncle's bunker in the woods. He keeps her there for weeks and even 'helps' the search for her.Meanwhile Sarah goes through a mini breakdown by acting out when she used to be a straight A student. Sarah evetually follows him and spies him entering the bunker one day where she finds her sister. The teacher never follows through with his plan. The kidnapping is pinned on the boy's unstable uncle and police believe the boy was coerced to keep the kid and so he is let off.

Please please please reply if you know the author or title as I would love to re-read it.
    Thank you so much
