My job does not comply with OSHA regulations and I've been chemically burned. Quit?
I started work with a pool company. They did not provide proper training or equipment. The next week I was chemically burned. (arms/ear/near eye) The Doctor I saw was terrible and said I should go back to work immediately. I have pictures. I researched and both the Doctor and the pool company are in the wrong. I've only missed 2 weeks of work but I feel workers comp. will fight paying for my time off because the disillusioned doctor said I was OK. I am afraid to go back to work for safety sake.
Do I quit? Do I call OSHA? I called and left messages with lawyers. What do I do next?

You called and left a message which what lawyers?

If your employer did not comply with safety regulations, yes, they have broken the law and stand to be fined. That will not protect your job.

If your injuries are serious, yes, report the violation(s) and protect the next person. Expect to be terminated.

If you found the Physician not to be reliable/educated, get another opinion.

Different employment law attorneys from sac, from san fran. and for free labor legal advice from sac county (which I found later, only helps if one is not paid properly.)

Just being afraid to work doesn't entitle you to WC. You have to be unable to work.
    What is a 'disillusioned' doctor?
Do you even have a job to go back to?
How long did you work there?

Also, what OSHA regs did you find? I checked one state statute at random, Utah, and find nothing about safety of the pool cleaner, just the pool water, filters, sides, etc.

Did your employer choose the Dr. that examined you or was it your family physician/personal choice? If it was a Dr. your employer referred you do, find an attorney experienced with Workmen's Comp and notify your state safety agency (sometimes part of labor dept) and/or OSHA.
