    A 1974 f-250 pick up w/390 won't start
It's a 1974 camper special that has been sitting for years, it turns over and coughs like it wants to start but won't. Already did the obvious things just wondering if there is something I'm missing

Has it started at all by priming it? Is your fuel pump working? Did your float get gummy from sitting?

What all have you checked and what were the results?

Get rid of all of the old gas, refill with fresh gas, and try starting fluid.

Be very careful with starting fluid as it can destroy your engine. If it has been sitting for "years" then it may not be able to handle it.

I actually owned one of those back then. If it's been sitting, the gas in the carb is garbage. The carb needs to be cleaned out and the float checked. Spark Plugs are probably gummed up. Points are probably dirty. Just some good old fashioned mechanical work will probably get it running in a couple of hours, That's was when just about anybody could fix a car or truck.
