    I get social security and have 1 minor child will he have to pay alimony
    I receive ssd. I am going to file for divorce. Husband is able bodied. I know he will have to pay child support, but will he have to pay alimony to me?

    Divorce court doesn't follow guidelines for the most part, except in some states there are division of property laws. It depends on how good each of your lawyers is, and how much your husband has in assets and what his income is, and how much your needs are.

    Alimony is not reallly for sure in many places, you did not say where this is. You file, and they look at income of both parties, ( not able bodiy but look at income over last few years, and needed funds type of jobs both did.

    So you will file, and request it, it may go to mediation, and come back to judge
