My daughter wants mermaid red hair. She used 40 vol developer with a loreal product that was supposed to give her the red color. Her natural med brown regrowth turned out beautifully. Unfortunately she went to a beauty school where they dyed it almost black. The mid shaft to the ends did not lift at all. Am I right in using a color remover on the dark part and using the same red shade that is on the regrowth after the dark lifts ?
