    I can't feel the strings to my iud and I'm cramping and bleeding. What do I do?

    Hello,

    You should be able to feel the strings, especially for the first month when the IUD is most likely to move. If you think that the strings are too long you can go back to your doctor to get them trimmed. A lot of the time when the swelling goes down they are longer than they appeared at first. For the first couple weeks I had horrible cramps and bleeding but these symptoms went away with time. If this continues more than a month, the pain is unbearable, or you are concerned about the amount of blood, then go see your doctor.

    I promise, it's worth it! Lasts forever and I haven't had a period for three years.
