I have a white wire, black wire, and copper wire coming from the ceiling. The instructions said to put the blue and the black from the fan to the black from the ceiling. Then put the whites together, and greens to the copper. Still not working.

You first mention "dual Switch". What was here before and if dual switches there should be 3 wires not two. We need to know what controlled what so we can determine if this is a switch loop or a hot lead from the switch. Do you know how to use a Volt Ohmmeter?

If you have only one switch on your wall, a bedroom for example, you will have three wires coming out of ceiling. The black is hot (power) the white is neutral or return, and the green or bare copper is ground. If your fan has a light kit, it will have a blue wire that powers it. Connect the blue and black (from your fan) together with the black one from the ceiling. Connect the white to the white and green to green or green to bare copper. Put in a bulb, turn the switch on (on the wall) & test the center pull cord for light and the outer pull cord for fan. If something doesn't work, check & make sure wire nuts are tight.

There are two switches on the wall to control the fan. One for the fan one for the light. There were only the white black and copper wires coming from the ceiling. It worked before the fan broke, but I didn't take note to how they were wired in the first place cause I've installed way to many ceiling fans in my time. For some reason, it didn't work this time.

Can't have 2 switches and only two wires and a ground. Has to be another wire that is hot. Even if the black and white were hot, you would still need a neutral for the fan and light. If you don't have a VOM or.other tester you need to find someone who does. Your switch and wire count don't add up. Pull your wall switches and tell us what color wires and how connected. If one.of the switches has a red wire or 2 black wires going out you are missing a wire in the ceiling box.
