    Thyrowel
We are trying to conceive for 6 months, my tsh came to be 5.8. I am taking thyrowel and microdox for the past 1 week. Is this OK? This month it has been 18days from last period but my opk is still negative. What could be the reason? Do both these medicines impact ovulation?

Does the Doctor who prescribed the medication know you are trying to get pregnant while on the medication?

Regarding Microdox - I’d ask her again - this is a tetracycline, specifically, Doxycycline, available in India - a Category D Drug - and I quote: “There is positive evidence of human foetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk (e.g., if the drug is needed in a life-threatening situation or for a serious disease for which safer drugs cannot be used or are ineffective). IMS Class Tetracyclines ATC Classification A01AB22 - doxycycline ; Belongs to the class of local antiinfective and antiseptic preparations. Used in the treatment of diseases of the mouth. J01AA02 - doxycycline” http://www.mims.com/India/drug/info/...gnancyCategory

This is a dangerous drug if/when you are pregnant - but you are on it to get pregnant?

Why would you need any such “cycline” drug?

Thanks, I would ask my Dr about microdox. However is my tsh too high for pregnancy? In how much time can thyrowel help in lower my tsh down to acceptable level for pregnancy?

These are questions for your physician - however, you are on a prescribed drug which can harm the fetus and trying to get pregnant.

    I'd find another Doctor.
