Older dogs exposed to Parvo. They are 7, 8, and 10 years old.
They are now due for shots. We just brought our puppy back home from a 3 day vet clinic stay.we have cleaned bleached over and over again. The puppy was exposed 9 days ago. Wouldn't the older dogs show signs by now?

Not necessarily - your best source of info is your Vet. What did he/she say?

Same as you answered. They shouldn't but would they have shown signs by now? I will ask vet today and give them their shots asap.

They were exposed to the puppy who has parvo, the puppy is back in the house and your dogs still haven't had their vaccinations?
Or am I reading this wrong?
What is the time frame here?

Bleach is the only household cleaning chemical that can kill the Parvo Virus. So you did do that right.
However, Parvo can live in feces, soil and such for over a year. Even through hot and cold climates.
Have your older dogs been vaccinated?
Do they need their booster shots?
If so, do that now, as Parvo is a highly contagious virus.

Older dogs with well established immune systems are not as susceptible to the parvo virus, is the way I understand it, but puppies without healthy immune systems are. That is not to say you should not protect your older dogs, but I would hope your vet would let you know this.

Just one question. When you bleached, what did you bleach? When it comes to parvo, bleaching everything, including your yard, is the only way to kill it. The yard is actually the most important, since parvo is contracted through feces, and most dogs will defecate in the yard. Parvo can live for over 6 months, even if extreme heat and cold. So, unless you bleached the yard, you didn't rid yourself of the parvo.
Chances are your older dogs won't get parvo. If they've been immunized regularly since they were puppies, they should be okay. If they get any symptoms at all it should be a very mild form of parvo. But you did state that they're overdue for their shots. How overdue are they, a week, a month, a year?

The virus sheds for about 14 days... vaccinate your dogs NOW and keep your puppy isolated from the others for 14 days.. be clean about it... was your hands after handling the puppy before you pet your others. Designate a spot where the puppy gets to go potty where the others can't get to it.
Adults should have some type of immunity, but viruses constantly mutate...
