My house is on a slab my kitchen sink faces the front of my house and my furnace room is in the back of my house. The floor drain in my furnace room backs up when I use my kitchen sink.

I can use clothes washer and other bathrooms no problems only my kitchen sink/dishwasher causes the problem.

    What is wrong?

You have a partial blockage downstream from the floor drain. The solution would be to snake from the floor drain on. Some Cordray have a cleanout plug just underneath the strainer. Let me know if you need more help. Good luck, Tom

Tom said, "some cordray". He meant, some FLOORDRAINS. Fit that into the sentence and it makes sense!

Sorry guys! I try to monitor every post but once in a while one slips past
Me. Thanks Mark, for explaining. We're still working on the vocabulary. This application also read back to me out loud when I highlight and mouse over a new post. I'll be watching closer in the future. Cheers, Tom
