    Need help
My sons father has wanted nothing to do with my son. When I told him I was pregnant he of course denied the baby was his. My son is now 4 years old and has never once met his father. I contacted his father once and let him talk to my son but he didn't want to speak to my son. I am now married. I would like for my husband to adopt my son. What can I do. I have not taking my sons father for child support. And do not plan on it. I did take him to court for custody and of course he didn't show up. He wanted to judge to continue it and the judge denied him. Because my sons guardian at litem couldn't get ahold of him. Please what steps do I take for my husband to adopt my son?

You need to prove paternity and get a signed consent. You are foolish to attempt an adoption without an Attorney. Many things can go wrong, and an inadequate adoption can come back years from now and bite you.

Whether the father pays support is immaterial. You were entiled to it. You chose not to pursue it.
