    I consented
I am 16 and my boyfriend is 23, we have had sex, & as far as I am aware, it is legal since I did consent. I do not believe there is anything wrong with being with someone older than yourself. Age is only a number, I think maturity level plays a more important role in whether a couple like us should date or not. I also think it is a damn shame when parents are too blind by age to let their children be with someone who will truly make them happy. Besides, there are couples who have a 10 year age difference, but they stay together their for the rest of their lives. I say be happy with whoever makes you happy no matter what anyone else has to say about it.

    Hello J:

Until you reach the age of consent, it doesn't matter that you consented, because you don't have the legal POWER to do that. Therefore, every time you have sex, your boyfriend is committing a crime and is subject to JAIL. If some parent, or some friend's parent, or some teacher gets wind of it, he probably WILL go to jail.

I'm NOT saying not to do it. I'm just telling what the REALITY is.

I was at the age of consent when we had sex. The age differs according to your location, but in my state the age of consent is 16, so no crime was committed & he cannot go to jail for statutory.
