    Pregnant or not?
Hello - My husband and I are trying to get pregnant for a few months and I am 5 days late but I have had two negative home pregnancy tests. One I took 1 day before my missed period and then one today. I know there are many possible reasons for a late period (I am a RN). How long after my missed period should I contact my MD to maybe get a blood test or see what she has to say?

The rule of thumb is to test when you are 10 days late and to follow the package directions.

Normally you can not (or should not) test till you are at least, 2 week late, so you are testing way to early
