26 weeks pregnant and lost 15 pounds in a few weeks is it bad for the baby?
I've been through a life altering ordeal and have been stressed and depressed. In just a few weeks I lost about 15 pounds. I sleep all the time or don't sleep at all and I try to eat but I just can't. I'll take a bite then I'm done and I've been dehydrated also. I can feel the baby move but I believe this is effecting him. Has anyone been through this and was the baby affected?

And what does your ob/gyn say about all of this? I know that dehydration is very bad for the fetus.

I haven't seen my ob/yet since I moved and will soon. I was in the hospital last week due to some pain but I didn't know that I lost that much and they didn't go into any detail about my depression or stress.

There are many factors involved, not just the 15 pounds. If you were low in nutrients, the baby takes what it can get before you get any. If the baby gets enough, fine, and you suffer later on. You end up with shorter tooth and bone life, for instance. As for stress and depression, babies have endured a lot over the ages, as pregnant women walked hundreds of miles to refugee camps or eked out a living in the wild when a mate was gone or killed. Nature designed it all for the survival of the child.
But you really won't know until you are examined and possibly tested.
