    My Period
I haven't had my period in a year and I am not sexually active. I am only 17 and kind of scared. I know I am not pregnant because every test came out negative. I am on this birth control called the Nuva Ring. I don't know if that is the problem or not. What should I do?

I'm a bit confused. You claim you're not sexually active, yet you took a pregnancy test, and you're on birth control. Why?

If you aren't sexually active why are you taking pregnancy tests? You know you have to be sexually active to get pregnant, right?

That was my question as well. Doesn't make sense to take a pregnancy test when you haven't had sex. Then again, it doesn't makes sense to be on birth control if you're not having sex. Unless there was another reason for the doctor to put her on birth control, which still doesn't explain why she took a pregnancy test.

Plenty of reasons for birth control aside from actual birth control. Regulation of periods, decrease in ovarian cysts... etc. Still, not a reason to take a pregnancy test if not sexually active.

Exactly. Also, I don't understand why the OP wouldn't be aware of the possible side effects with this specific form of birth control.

Still banging my head wondering why someone that's not sexually active, would take a pregnancy test. Makes no sense at all. I'm thinking that we're not being told the whole story here.
