The steering wheel on 2002 gmc sierra wobbles around like a marble
Steering wheel wabbles around like a marble. Have taken steering wheel off and 1st spring clip. There is another spring clip that holds the turn signal plate in place that is holding me up from getting any farther. How do I get this clip off and what could be causing my wabbling steering wheel

Is it tilt wheel? If it is, you don't want to just start removing clips without the proper tools and knowing what you're doing. Ever see someone hit with the spring from the tilt wheel? Yeah, you don't want to be that person.

If it is tilt wheel, I would take it to someone that knows what they're doing.

I can se the tilt echanism but that's not where the problem is. It is like there is a bearing that holds the shaft in place inside the tilt housing and that is where it wabbles .

I'll say again, you need to have the proper tools to get to that... if that tilt spring releases, you could be seriously injured. This is not something to play with if you are unfamiliar with it.

I get that I have done several tilt steerings before . This is down the center of the tilt mechanism. I think what I am trying to get to is called a steering shaft bearing

If you look at the shaft under the dash and grab it, does that wiggle too? I would check that and also check it all the way down to the rack.

No rest of shaft is good just where it looks like shaft separates inside tilt housing is where the wabble is .
