    Check eBay or craiglist for an idea, but second hand furniture is low value.

    Used? The answer is the same everywhere: what the market will bear. The market will depend on where you live, what the sofa looks like (upholstery type and color), and what condition it's in. Put a picture on craigslist for free, or ads around town, or your local paper. Even $3000 sofas rarely get more than about $300-400 used, because arranging transport is a big inconvenience.
