Dear Expert,
This is in reference to my wife , aged 26 yrs, who underwent at D & C on 28th April 2013 due to missed abortion, corresponding to 7 weeks & 2 days of pregnancy (the heartbeat of the fetus was going down………on 22nd April it was 147 BPM & on 27th April cardiac activity was not visualized). Her TORCH Test was conducted & its findings were:
• Rubella IgG – 60.40
• Rubella IgM – 0.23
• Cytomegalovirus IgG – 61.10
• Cytomegalovirus IgM – 0.12
On 06th May 2013, she was given R Vac (Rubella) vaccination by the Doctor, even when it was not required (refer results above). This came to light only, when we visited another doctor for another likely pregnancy, which she has probably conceived (she has received no periods since her D & C on 28th April 2013). Her UPT test was slightly positive on 01st June 2013 however sonography has not detected pregnancy probably due to early stage of pregnancy or it might be a Ectopic / Tube Pregnancy. Her pregnancy will only be confirmed on 10th June 2013, when her second sonography will be done.
My question is: Since Doctor has given Rubella vaccination on 06th May 2013, when it was not required & now probably she is pregnant, whether we should go ahead with this Pregnancy or abort due to risk of child with some congenital malformation inherent to a pregnancy. Request guide. Thanks.

This is a decision to be made by Physicians who have actually looked at all the info, not by strangers on the Internet. If you do no trust your Physician, then you should get a second opinion.

You say she is presently pregnant. You also say you don't know if she's pregnant. Which is it?

Or are you asking about a medical malpractice action?

Thanks for your prompt reply however you need to understand following:
1. Firstly, this is not the case of Physician rather the matter is required to be / being handled by a Gynecologist.
2. You may read the description of question in full, which clearly mentions that the UPT was positive however sonography didn't detected anything & final result will be out only by 10th June, when after few days sonography will be done.

I think you didn't understood the medical question. No issue. Leave it. I will take a Expert Doctor advice on Internet.

There are no Doctors on this site - there is one very good RN, and she answered you.

And you are correct - I thought your ob/gun was a Physician and I didn't think there was a "slightly positive" pregnancy test. I thought it was a yes or no test.
