I'm adopting a child from the state and the parents have appealed the decision of the state and have went to the supreme court. It has been around 80 days and still not listed on the site. How do I find out what is going on?

Few cases get heard at supreme court level, and are just returned to lower court, with that verdict standing. It can also take months even longer for cases to be heard.

If they have an attorney, and most likely they will at this point, you must have one, it is rare for this to happen, can you give more info on what is happening

Are you referring to the State's Supreme Court, not SCOTUS? Courts take a long time to hear appeals, unless there is an emergency. Have you not consulted with your attorney on this? Or checked with the court clerk?

I'm sure OP means the state supreme court. With a very few possible exceptions, Federal courts have no family law jurisdiction.

So, how long the particular state supreme court takes to get a matter onto it's website would vary by jurisdiction. Call the supreme court clerk for answers.

And OP should understand that simply filing a notice of appeal is normally the first among many steps. A briefing schedule will be sent to the parties, briefs have to be filed, oral argument can be scheduled, and then the court may take months and months to issue a decision.
