Is it possible to get a home you do not own off the demolition list and own it?
A house in my old neighborhood is owned by a person in Hawaii who has decided to let the house go. The house has recently been placed on the demolition list and I would like to take ownership of the house and try to get it fixed up and off the demolition list, is there any way to do that in Ohio?

If its been placed on the demo list, it has probably been inspected by the local housing dept and deemed irreparable. Otherwise, they would have put it up for a tax sale.

But you would need to contact the housing dept, or the tax collector to see if there is any possibility of purchasing the property. I would also contact the owner and see if they are willing to sell the property.
