Fine line between hot and cold water
Sometimes when taking a shower, I move the faucet control to make the water warmer or cooler. Sometimes there is a very narrow band of movement between hot and cold water. Does anyone know what causes this? Is there a part within the faucet that is not working properly? Thanks!

    Hi Todd

Can you tell us more about the shower valve? A brand name would help. The number of handles is also important and approximately how old the valve is, OK?

    Thanks for the reply, Mark.

It's a single handle Delta shower faucet. I don't know how old it is. Purchased the house 1 month ago. Below is a picture of it. Do you need me to take it apart to show what's behind it?

    Hi Todd

I am very familiar with the delta line of products and this looks like it has a few years on it, for sure!

I think you and I could spend a lot of time guessing at the different things I think could be wrong (3 or 4 things come to mind), but in most cases like this I swear to you that a phone call and a quick e-mail of that above photo and the technical department over at delta will send you schematics, parts repair numbers (and place to purchase) AND they will pinpoint your exact issue without guessing at it!

I would love to know the result! Thank you...
