    No, PVC works very well, doesn't rust, you have to pull a ground anyway.
    Maybe in special situations where shielding is necessary, may have to be stainless and sleeved?
    Is this for a House?
    PVC can be heated and moved into position, where steel, you cannot?

    You CAN rough-in using EMT on Concrete, Helps protect against screws and nails, and is same thickness as Fir Strip, PVC is Bigger.
    I have seen people use PVC, Smurf(ENT) on walls, then the walls have to be firred out further, as much as a 2X4, too much I think, I like Interior space.
