How do I remove the trim from the drivers side door of a 230C Mercedes to do repair work to surface rust?

How do you remove the door panel on a 1992 Mercedes 300E? It seems to have an insert in the middle, but I can't figure out how to remove the armrest on the driver's door or the map pocket on the bottom of the door panel. I am trying to access the power window mechanism for repair. :confused:

Both of my exterior doors have rotted trim. When pulling off the old trim I discovered that the frame of the door on one side is rotted as well. Can I replace that part of the frame without buying a whole new pre-hung door? I know nothing about doors and frames.
