Hi I'm 42 and my period was late last month by 9 days and I had all the signs of pregnancy well it finally came on lasting 5 days. This month twp days after my period was due I started spotting really light for two days. I only noticed it when I wiped and this was like 3 weeks ago. Im bloated all the time and have to take naps several times a day. I took a test a week ao and it was negative. I don't know what it could be.

Pregnancy is possible, it's very possible you tested too soon, or didn't test correctly. False negatives are very very common.

At 42 it can be any thing, often a pregnancy test will not show up, correct till two weeks after missed period.

But also, at 42, many women start getting changes to their cycle at a early menopause
