Generator to Run Air Conditioner Problem
I use a Honda Generator to run small 7000btu Air Cond. In a boat. Older Honda ran AC with incident on economode (keeps honda at low idle) which is very economical. Honda has made some changes now economode can not be used and Honda gen must be put and remain on high to start boat AC. AC is equipped with Run Capacitor and Start capacitor. The question is what can I use to help start capacitor have the required 13.5 Amps ready when the AC calls for the juice. The AC runs at very low power consumption. Presently, when the ac is switched on, the honda stumbles and switches off. If I could have the power ready on call when the AC compressor calls for it, then the honda would start up and then settle back down at a very low idle while the compressor is running. I think the cap is the answer but the current start cap is not working out. Please help.
