How to get rid of excessive hair on vulva?
I know some people say don't shave your pubic hair but its getting very annoying for me. The hair on the lower parts of my vulva(labia majora) is thick and matted. I have read that shaving would cause bumps, itching, and irritation. I'm not too sure about waxing, having to deal with the pain. I would like a cream but I'm not sure if they have any safe for the vulva. What would be the best way to get rid of the hair on the labia majora?

This is my question by the way. But I realized I forgot to give more information.
    1. I'm 16
    2. I'm not doing this for sex or anything. I read other questions about shaving pubic and for some reason people assume its because of sex. I want to get rid of the hair because its bothersome for me.
3.I'm extra sensitive. That's why the hair bothers me. When I shower, I tend to pull the hair and it hurts a lot.

Cut it with scissors - carefully - not close to your skin.

I agree with Joy, trim with scissors. I would use small scissors, like the tiny silver scissors used to trim your eyebrows, that way there's less of a chance of cutting yourself. You can also use an electric eyebrow trimmer, that only cuts to a certain length, not right to the skin.

Shaving is an option, but it can cause all the issues you posted, the worst being ingrown hairs. Waxing is painful, and can also cause ingrown hairs. I don't think there's any hair removal cream that's safe to use in that area, you could look, Nair has many different products for different areas of the body. But, if it were me, I'd trim.
