Well who do you think gave the stand down orders? Republicans weren't in the positions that had the authority to do that... Hillary couldn't even do that.. only the President could.

We had rapid reaction troops in Sicily, Italy since Regan was in office because of Daffy Duck... they were a LOT closer than Washinton, DC is to New York. And they were told to stand down.

Nothing would've saved the Ambassador except proper security before the attack. 9 hrs later when the attack was still ongoing ? It is indisputable that we had assests in place to get there by then. General Hamm was told to stand down. At least 2 people and unknown injured could've been saved... and the grounds would've been secured for whoever was going to investigate the incident .

What happened here in case you forget is that the 2 guys who died at the CIA compound defied orders to save the rest of the people at the mission.

I don't understand... I thought we believed in 'leaving no one behind'... In Mogadishu our troops drove through a gauntlet to save their brothers . Here the attitude was "it's too far away" or "we don't know the situtation on the ground" ? Huh ? They knew EXACTLY the situation on the ground . Panetta , Evita ,Brennan decided to let them fend for themselves. If it wasn't for the courageous sacrifice of Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty then maybe we are talking about 30 killed .
