    Craftsman DSY 4500 Series with 26 h Kohler quits when blades are activated.
    We have a Kohler 26h powered DSY 4500 Series Craftsman riding mower. Recently I put in a new battery and belt on the 54" mower deck. Now, every time I try to engage the mower deck it blows the 20 amp fuse that is on a pigtail next to the starter. It kills the engin and nothing further will happen till I replace the fuse. It was working just fine until I changed the battery and belt. Any ideas?

    Hi,
    Look for some place where the wiring is out of place and grounding.
