I had water service interruption for several hours. When service was restored the kitchen sink won't work.
I have not had a problem before.
Any ideas?

Hi Kelly

Start here by removing the threaded aerator at the end of the spout (spins out clockwise.. may need pliers). Once the aerator is removed, run the water from the faucet and see if you have running water without the aerator in place. If you have water flow without the aerator in place you can try cleaning the aerator and replacing it (see image below)... should work. If the flow is still an issue after that you can find a replacement aerator at any home improvement store if you bring the old one with you to match up exact, OK?

If after removing the aerator there is still no water flow then post back and we will suggest the next step to take.

It had a filter on it, which I removed, along with all its assorted parts, so there is nothing between me and the water flow... except water.
So if that doesn't work, what next?

Darn it all!

Since you present that this problem is isolated to a single faucet and there is no aerator in place my next step would be to shut off the shutoff valves under the kitchen sink and disassemble the faucet and remove the internal parts of the faucet. Once the parts are removed you can put a towel over the faucet, and quickly turn the hot and cold water shutoff valves on to clear the faucet or the supply lines of any sediment, clean the internal parts, reassemble and see what happens.

If that fails to resolve the issue then you will need to shut off the main water supply to the house and inspect the shutoff valves under the kitchen sink... MUST be clogged.. ;)

Cool, Mark... I am going to go take the faucet apart.
I can feel a little water in the line, where the seam is, so I don't think its clogged (OMG what clogs a faucet?? ) but I will go do that and get back to you either way!!

Ok... I have never removed a faucet.
I took the top cap off with 2 quick twists, and there is water even in there. But there doesn't seem to be another thing I can unscrew or remove. Any hints?
Is it underneath, or is that the main attachment of the faucet body?

I would need a picture to tell you much more, Kelly. At minimum, a name brand would help...
