    St. Thomas Palermo Toilet Residue
Because of the low water level, material sticks to the sides of our St. Thomas Palermo toilets after flushing.

Is there any way to improve this? Higher water level>

It may not be possible since the built-in trap will give you the maximum water level height inside the bowl. However, there is a chance, fill valve is set for rapid (short) fill resulting in inadequate amount of water entering bowl - so, try to adjust fill valve so you get maximum water amount during the fill... Hi Pduggan

Lift the lid off the toilet and see if there is a white or black tube connected to the toilet fill valve. This 1/4" tube should else be attached to the overflow tube in the center of the tank.

Check to see that the tube connects properly at both ends... may be your issue here!

I had raised the water level previously but after your recommendation I checked it again. It had changed so I raised it again.

    We'll see if this helps.

    Thanks.

Water should not "drain" out of your toilet trap on its own. Once you reached the maximum water level height inside the bowl - it should stay that way. Chances are that something is siphoning water out of that toilet trap... Question: do you see any water movement in standing water insider that toilet when somebody else is using another toilet in your house ? Especially on the 2nd story ? Back to you. Milo

I didn't make myself clear. It was the water in the tank that I adjusted to a higher level.

    Thanks.
