8 days late 3 negative hpt
Hi I'm 8 days late I'm never late I have done 3 hpt but they are all negative :( I have had a blood test but I have to go get the results anyone had this happen to them and they were pregnant?

8 days isn't that long and if you're testing already, it is probably way too soon. If you had a blood test done, that should give you accurate results. Why not go get those results before trying to guess? You will know for sure one way or the other when you see the results.

Yes, false negative is very common, did not say how late, you cannot even test, till 15 days late.
But some women have false tests for 2nd month and longer.
How late are you?

A false negative blood test is probably pretty accurate. Blood tests done by a doctor, are usually pretty accurate and can be done much sooner that an HPT.

The accuracy of HPT test is very low in the first week after your due date. Its less than 50%. It increases exponentially where it get to over 90% at the end of the second week.

So do you think I should wait 2 more weeks then get another blood test? I know your thyroid hormone can play tricks on people my friend had this her blood test was negetive but she really was pregnant so do you think I could have the same problem as my friend like one hormone telling you are pregnant and one telling you are not pregnant?

The only way to know if you are pregnant or not is to call your Physician, make an appointment, get the blood drawn and tested, ask very specific questions.
Yes, of course, you COULD have the same problem your friend had. Do you? No way to tell.

I would wait another week before taking another HPT and make sure you follow the directions. Then make an appointment with your doctor.

Sorry, Scott, I misread. Didn't realize she's already had a blood test and is waiting for the result.
Surprised the Doctor ordered a blood test with such a short time frame -
