    Abandonment law in the philippines
My husband and I are married for 8 years by now, our marriage was quite unpredictable. We always argue and separated many times but when he went to K.S.A, and I went to Taiwan, I can say our marriage had ended there. When his mom died last 2008, he went home and took care of our kids. Before he come back to K.S.A, he left a legal paper telling only his brother can take my kids custody and not my family. We seek for many help, even DSWD said my family should have the custody but they never gave my kids back to my mom and dad. That was the time I had to take leave at work in taiwan to go home and get my kids back and I did. After that, we never heard anything from them and even financial support for my kids. I heard my husband was only in Manila while my family and kids were only in Batangas. For more than four years, they never had the courage to see and communicate with us. Now all I want to ask is can I use this reason to file an annulment? He abandoned us for more than four years now. Please help me understand. Tahnk you
