    Bulge in vaginal opening
In March 2011 I underwent a total vaginal hysterectomy, vaginal vault suspension with Elevate mesh. Rectum and bladder were returned to their normal position. A year later I felt discomfort in the vaginal area, observed another bulge and worried the bladder had fallen again. Subsequent examination by my GYN indicated that all mesh was intact and the bulge was described as pinched skin. Now when I exercise, especially walk, I experience the same discomfort as when the bladder had fallen and when I use the toilet I can feel the bulge in the vaginal opening. If the mesh has not failed and bladder and rectum are still in place what could this bulge be?

Of course a bulge could be a sagging/prolapsed organ or something entirely new, but an OB nurse is frequently on this site, and she might have some specific ideas.

I just want to say that I see a lot of ads on TV for law firms who will sue for problems associated with vaginal mesh. Based solely on that I might consider a second opinion.
