It's almost impossible to avoid some violation of the volumes of rules and regulations governing business in this country . All it really takes is an auditor looking to climb up the heirachy ladder ,with a unique interpretation of a rule that 90 % of the other regulators would over-look.
Soros on the other hand is a criminal who lost criminal cases in the French justice system ,and appeals at the World Court.

While running the risk of being influenced by the Blogs; didn't the article say that criminal charges weren't pursued by the regulators? Your clarification on French jurisprudence would be appreciated.

While prosecutors filed criminal charges, French stock market regulators didn't pursue Soros, saying insider-trading laws were too vague to determine whether he'd broken them.
“The conviction is so old it has been expunged pursuant to French law,” Soffer said.

All I know is that the NY Slimes has vindicated Andrew Breitbart and his investigation into the massive Pigford settlement fraud by the Obama Agriculture and Justice Dept . The Soros funded 'Media Matters' smeared Breitbart for years because of his investigation into the illegal and unconstitutional money transfers that resulted in a $4.4 billion theft by the Obots for payouts to anyone who falsely claimed they were a minority farmer who had been against .
http://www.nytimes.com/2013/04/26/us...anted=all&_r=0
The Soros Media Matters didn't give a damn about the truth . Their role was to give cover to the corrupt Obama Adm.'s pilfer of the public funds.

Too bad Brietbart never went back far enough to get all the facts. This crap started with discrimination back in the 20's but never came to light until the 70's. Even your article sites 3600 of 4400 claimants have won their cases in a court of law, and many more will follow.
I know you guys are really mad that ordinary people can have a day or two in court, and win. Burns conservative butts don't it?

So the Obama Agriculture and Justice Dept theft of money that wasn't allocated to the program doesn't bother you at all. And it doesn't bother you that they gave much of this money to 'fake farmers ' that had no real claim to it... ie $1.33 billion to compensate not just the 91 plaintiffs but thousands of Hispanic and female farmers who had never claimed bias in court.
I assume you are aware that bribery is one of the two specific crimes listed in the Constitution that a sitting President can be impeached for. And if this wasn't vote buying I don't know what is.
From the article :“From the start, the claims process prompted allegations of widespread fraud and criticism that its very design encouraged people to lie: because relatively few records remained to verify accusations, claimants were not required to present documentary evidence that they had been unfairly treated or had even tried to farm. Agriculture Department reviewers found reams of suspicious claims, from nursery-school-age children and pockets of urban dwellers, sometimes in the same handwriting with nearly identical accounts of discrimination.”
So don't talk about discrimination going back to the 1920s . That is completely irrelevant to the issue unless you are now telling me that this massive fraud and theft of the public treasury was justified as some form of reparations conducted by executive action.
And of course you are aware that the original farmers, who actually had a case for discrimination, haven't gotten a damn thing yet .
As for your distortion about the number of successful claims ;the article addresses that too :
In 16 ZIP codes in Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi and North Carolina, the number of successful claimants exceeded the total number of farms operated by people of any race in 1997, the year the lawsuit was filed. Those applicants received nearly $100 million.....Former federal officials said the bar for a successful claim was so low that it was almost impossible to show criminality. .

That is a direct quote from the Slimes expose . Here are some other revelations... SCOTUS narrowed the legitimate claims to 91 plaintiffs . How is it then that thousands of plaintiffs were paid off ? No it's not the courts ;its the fraud in the Obama Adm that is at issue.
The deal according to SEVERAL CURRENT and FORMER GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS said, was fashioned behind closed doors in White House meetings over the vehement objections of career lawyers and agency officials who argued that there was no credible evidence of widespread discrimination;and that the template for the deal had proved a magnet for fraud.
Stop defending the indefensible .

Tom, you are confusing good journalism with bad journalism. The whole idea of having a left wing media and a right wing media is so they can demonstrate that they don't give a dam about the truth.
This is when you took up the line that my rich guys are more honest that your rich guys. To pursue that line is an exercise in futility. What you have come up with now is an exercise in good journalism.

My point was the Breitbart was practicing good investigative journalism 2 years ago ;and the Soros funded 'Media Matters ' smeared him for daring to expose the fraudster in the White House .

No doubt that this is true, but it only serves an example of how the left wing media are not interested in the truth. In exactly the same way as it is easy to find examples of how the right wing media are not interested in the truth.
What's the point of trying to demonstrate that your rich guys are more honest than my rich guys. Many of them are dishonest when it comes to the truth regardless of their political leanings. Why? Because they run left and right wing media.

I'll tell you why... because it is the left that demonizes the rich .They decry their influence at the same time they embrace their influence . They call for punitive redistribution at the same time they carve out exceptions for their rich. The true goal which they fail to acknowledge is to keep the club exclusive by eliminating any chance of anyone else joining the club... all the while using the language of egalitarian. You see it here ;the language they use. When we point out the hypocrisy of someone like Soros who owns 1.9 million shares of Halliburton (a company they hate ) or Gore and the Hollywood elites flying around on gas-guzzling, atmosphere-polluting private jets while railing against global climate change ,or the clowns at Wall Street and their revolving door between Wall Street and Washington they defend their actions while at the same time railing against them .
They killed Romney over his off shore investments while being funded by Soros who moved his headquarters to the tax free Caribbean country of Curaçao to avoid paying the US taxes he supports . If the Koch Brothers or Sheldon Adelson is funding campaigns they scream about campaign finance reform while turning a complete blind eye to the Democracy Alliance, a secretive organization of progressive millionaires and billionaires who finance a spider's web network of foundations and Super PACs that operate with undisclosed “dark money.”
Democratic super PACs get jump on 2014, 2016 - POLITICO.com Print View
According to their narrative ,money in politics is corrupting only because rich Republican businessmen trade campaign donations for low taxes and fewer environmental regulations.
Then they call for 100% public financing of elections which not only would pick the pocket of the commoner ;but cement in place the permanence of a ruling elite that would have their grubby paws on all the money allocated to campaigns .
This foundational idea that Republicans act out of self-interest while Democrats act out of the public interest is the keystone to the mythology of your everyday Democrat. It's simplistic and bogus ,and I will continue to point it out no matter how many times they dismiss their participation in it as no big thing. For every Sheldon Adelson ,there is more than one Jeffrey Katzenberg . But of course he ,and Al Gore ,and George Soros are only doing it for altruistic reasons as their own coffers get ever larger.
