Looking for free help to terminate parental rights of absent father
I have sole legal custody of my daughter with reasonable visitation rights to her bio father . CAN ANYONE HELP ME FIND A PRO-BONO LAWYER TO HELP ME TERMINATE VISITATION. He is an ex felon, Has a drug abuse problem, Has no job, lives with his mother and has not provided for my daughter since she was born.. My financial situation isn't the best and well he is not helping at all. So I need a lawyer because he wants more visitations and more custody. I want to prevent that because I find it unfair that he calls himself "father" when he has done NOTHING for my daughter... PLEASE HELP MEEEEE..!

I have moved this question into a thread of its own because putting your question in an old thread lends to confusion.

I have also merged your other thread with this one. No multiple threads from the same member on the same question, please.

It is not the role of this forum to help you find pro-bono attorneys. But in any case, one would have to know your state or country in order to help you anyway.

If he is asking the court to expand his visitation that is one thing. But he cannot simply ask for more visitation; he would need a court to award it. Is there a custody, visitation, and support order in place now?

So he has no job, how do you expect him to pay support? If a court ordered visitation, then you have to comply.

If you want to fight it, you don't need an attorney, what you need to do is show proof he is a danger to your child. Can you prove he is a drug abuser? Does he have a history of violence towards your daughter?

He has the right to call himself father since that is what he is. It may be unfair, but it's the law. Unless you can prove to a court that he is a danger to the child, you are unlikely to terminate his visitation.
