    We are comfortably right!
Last week I commented on a remark by John Oliver saying we aussies are comfortably racist

Now he's saying we are comfortably right about gun control
Daily Show uses John Howard to embarrass gun lobby

But I do have some issues with some remarks made in the interview
but in the real world, with human beings, it's not going to work and gun control isn't going to work."
I don't think I have heard a more racist remark. Acccording to this statement no person outside the United States is human. Candidly, I am beginning to wonder if any person in the United States is human, but before you respond, remember,I am comfortably racist

    Hello clete:

but in the real world, with human beings, it's not going to work and gun control isn't going to work
If you'd seen the entire show, you'd know that the above was the position of the hard right that he was asking Howard to debunk - and he did.

    Are you comfortable now?

Yes I knew the remark came from the right and I was pointing out the stupid racists attitude that thinks that only humans are found in the United States and the rest of us are something else, well he's right we are superior beings who have moved beyond our childish obscessions with fire arms

Perhaps you would embrace giving up any freedom to flap your gums either verbally or in writing too... you know... like in North Korea too...

Because you haven't moved beyond you "childish" need to flap your gums to anyone who will listen...

Or your Childish need to punish the people who work hard to become a success to reward the lazy slobs who didn't make the same effort.

In the real world with human beings as opposed to "some other planet" Geez, don't you read your own link before getting all bent out of shape?

"I guess if we're going to go to Planet X and say, 'It's not the United States. It's some other planet: different people, different everything' ... but in the real world, with human beings, it's not going to work and gun control isn't going to work."

I read that speech and it didn't change my opinion of what was said, in fact it reinforced it. No matter how you twist it I know what that right wing B was inferring. Here in Australia we have a commentary program, its called Planet America and each week the commentators take a trip to Planet America to see how the other 5% are getting on, it is done with tongue in cheek humour, but there is no doubt that saying; only in america, is true

We laugh about you all eating Vegemite and bar-b-que kangaroo too. The pictures of roast Kuala bear is rather unsettling however,

Yes good kwola is hard to get, but BBQ kanguroo, we leave that to the abo's, and vegemite, that is the health food of the nation, you have to be a higher evolved species to appreciate it but here is one you just have to try, BBQ crocodile with prawns and onions

Alligator isn't bad.. would taste the same as crocodile... grilled King Prawns are good... Had those at a Vietnamese restaurant a long time ago...

However higher life forms don't eat Koala. They are too cute looking to eat.

You have keep the Vegemite... we've evolved beyond eating stuff like that...

If you know where to shop.. you can get them both... and not pre-cooked. Just like there... you won't get fresh prawns in every little watering hole.

There are fish markets less than 5 miles from my house that sell a variety of LIVE seafood... that they kill and clean for you there... that's as fresh as it gets unless you catch it yourself and take it home live.. The rest is on ice. Their fish counter is almost 50 feet long... with the aquariums below and behind the counter... thats inside a supermarket.

You are fortunate to live in a seaboard city, I live in the mountains and the adage don't eat seafood in any month with an R in it is to be remembered

We're comfortably racist [ 2 Answers ]

Well that's about the nicest thing I heard lately Australia 'most comfortably racist' country, says British comedian and The Daily Show correspondent John Oliver | News.com.au If people are racist they should be comfortable about it, but we don't discriminate as some do, we are racist about...
