I'm changing out a sub panel used for my pool (exterior). The replacement sub-panel (Pentair EasyTouch) only has entry points (punch outs) on the bottom of the box. The power from the main service panel is coming down the wall from above in RIGID (surface mounted) and there is a conduit RIGID (switch) run coming in from the side. If I can connect Liquid-Tight flex conduit to the RIGID it will make it very easy for me to transition from the top and side to enter the new box from the bottom. Otherwise I'll have to use a junction box which I'd like to avoid. Can I combine L-Tight to RIGID and not break code?

Is this a private, residential installation and you are the owner?
Does the rigid conduit have an equipment grounding conductor installed along with the phase conductors?
Is this installation inside or outside?

Yes, residential and I am the owner.
Installation is outside.
Yes, the ground conductor is coming down with the phase conductors.

In my opinion, yes. Use LFMC (Liquidtight Flexible Metal Conduit) the liquidtight without the metal may be allowed as well although you'll need to make sure the equipment ground conductor is size correctly.
I do hope you are applying for a building (electrical) permit for this... when you go to apply, ask to speak with the electrical inspector to check for any local rules that I'm unaware of.
