    Stopping meds for gout
    Hi I have Gout'[not severe] been takeing COlCRYS 0.6 MG andALLOPURINOLL300mg for about 8 months to prevent gout atacks which I think I only had two. I haven t DRANK A BEER in a YEAR! What I want to know is if I stop takein the medicine for a few days could I drink a few beers and then resume the medicine later I really MISS MY BEER

    Do not stop taking your meds. You can have a beer, but, be warned that having alcohol can cause a painful flare up.

    If you're on other meds, you could have a major problem.

    Really doesn't seem worth a beer.
