    verify the identity solver
    cos t + cos 3t
    sin 3t - sin t = cot t

    for the answer I got -cot t=cot t
    I don't know what I'm doing wrong

    If you could show us your work we may be able to pinpoint the error. However, I can tell you the key lies in the addition and double angle formulas.
