Hi I am an Australian. I worked in the US from 3/1/2010-06/30/2012. My contract was complete in June 30, 2012. I returned to Australia and worked in Aus.
    My questions are:
    1. Am I still a resident alien.
    2. My I declare my income I earned in Aus after I left the US .i.e from July-Dec 2012.

    Herbert,

If you return to the U.S. in 2013, you MUST file as a resident in 2012 under the "continuous presence" policy.

If there is no return, you can filr as a resident or file dual-status.
