How can I remove a stuck Moen filter/cartridge from my bathtub
I have a Moen cartridge/housing within the handle of my bathtub. It's the 1225 cartridge (pull out and turn). However it's stuck in the housing. The plastic tool they included with the new cartridge I bought only gets chewed up; I can't turn the cartridge; it won't budge. I've tried vinegar (once) to loosen any possible deposits. I stopped that because it was running into the cement board and reacting. One of the two tabs on the cartridge has now cracked off as I tried to get it out with pliers. Is there something more I can do to remove this myself (tool I could buy/keep trying to loosen the deposits)? Could a plumber possibly get it out without cutting the whole assembly out, or am I stuck with getting it all cut out and replaced?

Purchase a moen cartridge puller ($20.00ish)... available at most home supply and plumbing supply stores!

    Hope that helped!
